White Stone Ministries, Inc. was founded in 1989 in the State of Texas. White Stone is recognized by the IRS as a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization. White Stone was formed to meet the needs of children who have been abandoned, orphaned, abused or neglected. White Stone's first facility, White Stone Emergency Shelter, was opened in 1990 providing emergency and short-term care for girls. Two years later White Stone Children's Home was opened providing long-term care for girls and boys. Finally White Stone Unwed Mother's Home was opened to help offer a life-giving alternative to young women who might otherwise had to choose abortion. The homes operated for over seven years and during that time, over 300 children received care through White Stone's programs. Now the vision has expanded to provide a ministry to children who are abandoned or orphaned in Latin America.
Currently, White Stone operates the Casa Hogar Manto Coahuila Children's Home in Acuña, Mexico. Ron and Anna Sherman are serving as the full-time directors of the Home. Together, the Sherman's have dedicated their lives to the continued growth and development of White Stone Ministries and the vision of rescuing many orphaned and abandoned children.
Anna Sherman is a native of Johannesburg, South Africa. She is an ordained minister and has over 20 years experience in ministry. She was the Childrens Church Pastor for Christian Family Church in South Africa where she supervised the operation of the Childrens Church serving over 600 children per weekend. She has ministered extensively to children of all socio-economic groups and spent a great deal of time volunteering in various orphanages in the Johannesburg area. Anna has completed three years of Bible School in Johannesburg and fives years of specialized seminars training childrens ministry leaders. These seminars provided Anna with a broad knowledge base concerning the most effective ways to minister to children, such as; puppet ministry, drama, and creative ways to teach scripture just to name a few topics. Anna also has extensive experience in ministering to traumatized children.
As a child, Anna was exposed to witchcraft and the occult. She was delivered from the bondage and the trauma she suffered under as a result of the involvement, when she gave her life to Jesus 23 years ago. Out of her experience she has become an anointed and effective minister to traumatized and hurting women.
